One of the world's largest agricultural goods merchants/processors is searching for an Assistant Maintenance Manager - Electrical for their export grain and oilseed facility in Port Allen, LA. The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the facility's electrical maintenance needs by leading a team of electricians and instrument technicians actively and visibly in the field towards safe and efficient maintenance and repairs pertaining to electrical, instrumentation and control systems. This role coaches, mentors and provides supervision while working directly with the planner scheduler to plan all predictive, preventive and corrective work. REPONSIBILITIES:
- Active and visible leadership in the field, conducting inspections, removing barriers, towards the safe and efficient execution of electrical and instrumentation repairs
- Overall leadership of electrician and instrument technicians, including coaching, mentoring, and supervision
- Works with the planner scheduler to plan all predictive, preventive and corrective work pertaining to electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Determine proper skill levels are available for the maintenance and repairs of all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
- Plans and executes emergent repairs to electrical, instrumentation and control systems
- Collaborate with the Parts Lead to procure all required parts
- Utilizing CMMS system to document work and parts utilized in repairs
- Maintains equipment information, repair files, and parts data
- Collects and processes predictive/reliability data from electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
- Ensures employees are provided required training for area, jobs, and tasks prior to assigning work
- Performs job/cost analysis, safety/risk analysis, and preventative maintenance analysis for electrical, instrumentation and control equipment.
- Lead and/or participates and RCA for major failures of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
- Collects, records, and analyzes production (including downtime) data to optimize efficiencies and product quality
- 5 years of experience in Maintenance supervision with strong leadership skills
- 5 years of experience in the repairs of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems associated with the operation of bulk handling equipment (PLC, VFD, ladder logic).
- 5 years of experience in the troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems, including transformers and other electrical power distribution equipment
- Knowledge of bulk conveying equipment and systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and industrial processing machinery
- Knowledge of manufacturing regulatory and safety requirements the facility operates under (e.g., OSHA, EPA, BATF, NDEQ)
- Experience with PC based maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 is preferred.
