Ag 1 Source is looking for a Technical Specialist / Technical Agronomist to cover the state of Kansas. This position with be working for a major distribution company that is expanding and growing this territory. Whats in it for you:

Self directed in your day to day activities and providing sound agronomic advice to clients.
This is a unique role as one will be able to work with universities, working directly with growers and sales team and marketing of products in the territory. What you will be doing:
Working with the sales team along with customers on a variety of specialty products.
Working with universities on plot and replication plot work.
Training and putting on workshops or meetings for customers on an annual basis.
Assisting sales team on marketing of product through the territory. A successful candidate for this Technical Specialist will possess the following:
MS degree in Agronomy, or agriculture related industry and have 5 years experience to be qualified for this role.
One must have strong agronomic skill set working with the field with a variety of personality styles.
Ability to put together presentations and have excellent communication skills
Willingness to work with PhD university level people as well as farmers in the field.
Travel is a big part of this role, a qualified candidate for the tech role will need to have the ability to travel with some overnights.
Compensation: The compensation for the Technical Agronomist role will range from $75-$90K depending on experience.
