Product Development Manager
Ag 1 Source is looking for a Product Development Manager for a growing company in Central California. The Product Development Manager leads and directs the engineering activities of the product development teams, develops and implements policies and procedures for the engineering function, and oversees adherence to work in accordance with company policies, priorities and budget constraints. Oversee the innovation efforts of Engineering department
Ensure that attention is being given to areas of innovation that stand to benefit the company"s product
Properly research and test new innovations to prove their usefulness
Manage the product development process of the company"s product line
Prepare project scopes of work
Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines
Establish and facilitate project teams to accomplish company objectives
Direct, review and approve new product design
Define, develop, and lead strategic engineering activities within the assigned area of responsibility
Develop and maintain engineering processes and design guidelines for assigned area
Manage design employees
Assign, direct and evaluate their work
Provide technical input and direction as projects warrant
Oversee their continued professional development in areas that benefit the company goals A successful candidate for this Product Development Manager role will possess the following:
BS degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, Industrial or relevant Engineering required.
MBA beneficial
Minimum of 3 years experience in effectively managing people, processes, and development projects.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, not required
Compensation: You can expect compensation in the $100,000 - $130,000 range, based on experience.
