Accounting Manager ~ gpac ~ Lafayette area, Indiana, USA

The Controller is responsible for providing consistent leadership in the accounting department. Strong management with guidance and training is essential. Focus on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels on internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets. Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues. Ensure organization"s compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes. Hire, train, supervise and develop staff, including coaching, counseling and discipline.
Qualities: Process passionate person, Detailed & Accurate, Understands IT systems and can apply learning to new systems, ability to work with teams remotely, understands debits and credits
Job Description:
This role would be overseeing the financials, accounting functions, and accountants on staff for multiple entities. This company operation in several states and needs someone with a strong construction or agriculture understanding.
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of experience
* Bachelor"s degree; MBA
* Agriculture or Construction experience
* CPA is ideal but not necessary
* Management experience
* Work independently
