Ag 1 Source is looking for an Ag Operations Manager for a well respected client who is seeking an experienced individual who has a successful history of managing an ag business as well as working with customers to provide superior customer service. This role has a well trained and efficient staff. We need someone who can come in and bring the business management skills as well as solid leadership skills. We don"t expect someone to come in and know all the ins and outs of this business, and we need someone who is humble enough to know that coming in and learn from the employees while leading the business matters. Lead a team to provide superior customer service to a great group of customers. What you will be doing:
Manage the overall business and people aspects at this location. Experience in some facet of agriculture will be preferred.
Managing and motivating the team as well as assigning tasks and scheduling deliveries, etc.
Provide customer support and service and promote a service oriented culture.
Oversee the safety, inventory and other operations-centric duties of the location. A successful candidate for this Ag Operations Manager will possess the following:
Experience in managing some type of ag business prior, examples might be ag retail, ag equipment dealership, Rural King, Tractor Supply, auto parts, etc.
Understanding of the Central Kentucky agriculture market, with a focus on hay/pasture/cattle primarily.
Personality to quickly build rapport with both the team and the customers.
Solid can-do attitude and the ability to self-manage and run something as if it were their own business.
Positive reputation in the industry.
Preferable 5+ years in the industry.
Bachelor"s degree or experience.
Compensation: Base compensation for this role will depend on experience and fall in $60-$75K base salary range with additional bonus opportunity.
