Product Development Manager
The Product Development Manager provides leadership and direction to a team that is accountable to coordinate regional/local research testing, product selection, positioning and product training. In this role you will also act as a conduit between the research and sales team in developing product targets and selling the portfolio.

Manage field trials from concept and design, to protocol development, through data capture/analysis.
Coordinate plot locations and logistics with plot cooperators and oversee planting and plot harvest.
Oversee data collection including stand counts, disease evaluation, and pre-harvest notes.
Be part of product the selection team which will include attending genetic supplier meetings and seed trade meeting events.
Create product planning including experimental product review, new product selection and introduction, product forecasting and inventory management.
Develop a plan to disseminate data and communicate to the field by writing newsletters, product sheets, and presentations.
Educate seeds dealer and field sales staff on product positioning, considering product traits, proper product placement, and sound agronomic practices.
A successful candidate for the Product Development Manager position will possess the following:
Experienced in both people and product management.
Understanding of seed genetics, product evaluation, growing environment differences, and interactions of the two.
Ability to evaluate corn and soybean characteristics, record detailed information, and interpret data to make decisions
Aptitude for working with technical information; attention to detail.
Ability to convey information though both written and live presentations
Compensation: Compensation for this position will be $100K.

Desired Location: It is preferred that the Product Development Manager be located in MN, SD, ND, western WI, or northern IA.
