Technical Territory Manager ~ De Lacy Executive Recruitment North America ~ Northern and Central Alberta, Alberta, Canada

Our client is a well-established distributor of premium grain processing and handling equipment, offering facility design, process engineering, and continuous support services to farmers, producers, and seed growers in Canada. Due to growth of the business, they are seeking Technical Teritory Managers for both Northern and Central Alberta.
The Technical Territory Manager is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships within an assigned territory, analyzing needs and providing creative solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote sales within assigned region to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Consult with customers and identify appropriate solutions to address both their current and anticipated future needs
  • Provide after sales support and service
  • Estimate and quote equipment prices
  • Maintain current product knowledge of all equipment, parts and services
  • Prepare sales plans and daily reports
  • Develop new accounts while successfully maintaining past accounts
  • Educate customers about equipment through demonstrations
  • Maintain knowledge of financing options to assist customer's financial needs
  • Engage with dealership personnel in completing sales
  • Monitor and communicate any competitive activity to management

DESIRED PROFILE:
  • Post-secondary education preferred, in business or mechanical trade
  • 5+ years of experience in business to business (B2B) sales role with successful results working both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of processing and/or agricultural industry experience
  • Understanding of farming practices in Western Canada
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Proven ability to manage a large sales territory
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to solve problems and provide solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and business networking skills
  • Experience working with Saleforce or similar CRM database
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
