JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-Placement is searching for an Irrigation Supervisor for this Texas Panhandle producer. Person must have extensive experience in the operation, management, upkeep and repair of center pivot irrigation. Strong agronomic background with understanding of crops and irrigation scheduling. Supervisor will report to the Irrigation Manager. Prefer 5 plus years pivot irrigation management experience. Responsible for keeping pivots in operation, on schedule and in good working order during the growing season. Need to emphasize, person will be working closely with management to determine the most optimal schedule and watering cycle for the crops. Will be expected to aid in overall farming operations as needed and determined by farm management. Responsible for conducting preventative maintenance on irrigation equipment during off-season. This is very much a "lead position" and need Supervisor who can lead by example, who can motivate and get the best out of their team, but yet be able to hold individuals/team accountable. Person will need a CDL or have the ability and willingness to get a CDL. Should be self-motivated, task oriented, willing to learn and a team player.
