Plant Manager ~ gpac ~ Visalia, California, USA

A manufacturing facility in the Visalia area is confidentially looking to bring in a Plant Manager to oversee this operation.
Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all plant related, regulatory and safety compliance tasks
* Oversees all plant maintenance activities, including maintenance team members
* Responsible for assigning and managing the execution of all maintenance projects
* Responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operating budget
* Develops options and strategies for improved manufacturing, equipment and overall business results
* Plan around processes to ensure all company goals are being met
* Ensure all permitting and licensing is in compliance
* Establish and communicate clear goals and deliverables that support and foster a high performing team
* Ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented for internal and external customer complaints
* Maintain effective departmental quality procedures
* Lead and participate in team based activities in pursuit of continuous improvement
* Responsible for inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods
* Be innovative and creative with process improvements
* Monitor workload factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools, and equipment.
* Oversee production planning and scheduling
* Work with General Manager on employee related activities and the counseling and mentoring of direct reports
* Develop training plans for direct reports, including succession planning
* Assist Production Manager to define and implement training plans and processes for hourly personnel
* Ensure employees are effectively trained to meet expectations of safety and GMP"s
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
* Four year college degree desirable
* Minimum of 5-7 years managerial experience as; Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager or Superintendent
* Effective verbal and written skills - comfortable presenting to a group
* High degree of analysis, problem solving and creativity
* Experience with SAP
* Proven Project Management, planning, organizational and decision making skills
