- Motivator, team player and self-starter JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting this Swine employer in searching for a Swine Production Manager, and more importantly Sow Production Management. Have some different options available for the right person in terms of location, size of farrowing facility. The position will lead a Team while being engaged in recruiting, hiring, training, leading, planning, managing, coaching and mentoring. This will also include the administration of all personnel-related functions, such as performance reviews, attendance, and disciplinary situations. You will also need to have good understanding of ventilation system, animal health, pig flow, etc. Need to have good maintenance skills; all sites are automated including feeding systems and power ventilation. Must be self-motivated and have good problem-solving skills, and open communication with all farm staff, production manager, veterinarians and the management team. Salary will be determined by experience, stability, references, and position comes with a strong benefit plan complete with insurance and retirement.
