Local Banking/Financial Institution is looking for a Commercial Loan Officer in the area to manage and grow an existing portfolio. The Commercial Loan Officer position requires a minimum of 3 years" experience in Commercial Lending and strong new business development skills. Candidates must have a solid understanding of the banking industry and the underwriting process.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for sourcing new business through existing referral bases, centers of influence, and cold calling when necessary.
Build a portfolio and manage it through maintaining regular contact, including participating in periodic site visits to assess the customer"s financial health, checking collateral condition, and identifying relationship issues and/or cross-selling opportunities.
Participate in the underwriting of the credits by working closely with analysts and other groups within the organization to maintain the accounts in good standing. This includes leading the credit memo process through loan structuring and credit underwriting, presenting credit to the loan committee when necessary, closing the loans, and making sure payments are received in a timely manner.
Responsibilities for the Commercial Loan Officer:
* Manage and grow a loan portfolio.
* Meet benchmarks in multiple facets including but not limited to profitability and credit quality.
* Promote new business development.
* Work in sync with support staff and executive management
* Achieve sales and production goals to increase commercial loan business.
* Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
