3+ years progressive experience in Heavy Equipment, Construction Equipment, or Farm equipment parts operations perferred.
Job Description:
The Parts Manager holds a variety of responsibilities overseeing the daily operations of
the Parts Department which include meeting budget goals, management of the department
employees and inventory, and developing loyal customer relations - all to continually improve
the functions and efficiency of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Store Manager, this position:
* Accountable for the overall performance of the department including meeting revenue,
gross margin, and profit & loss goals as defined in the annual and monthly profit plan
* Responsible for managing relationships with the customers
* Provides leadership, guidance, coaching, and direction to the parts staff to achieve
department goals, by promoting the company vision, mission, and culture
* Follows established company policies and procedures, especially with respect to parts,
invoicing, credit, parts inventory management, and purchasing
* Responsible for the management of the department inventory, parts, displays, and
merchandising
* Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, firing and discipline to ensure that the parts
department is staffed with competent employees (within approved budgets and Store
Manager approval)
* Makes recommendations to the Store Manager on staffing and compensation
requirements within the department
* Informs Store Manager in a timely manner of any issues related to the parts operations of
the location
* Attends required meeting as scheduled
* Responsible for any other duties that may be assigned by the Store Manager
Job Skills:
The Parts Manager must:
* Possess the leadership and managerial ability to lead and direct a team of parts employees
to achieve the department operating goals

* Have extensive knowledge of agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, and construction equipment parts, and related supplies and
materials within his/her local market area
* Be capable of interpreting data from financial and understand cost, overhead, and margin
requirements to achieve the financial goals as determined in the annual operating budget
* Maintain and cultivate a professional relationship with fellow employees, company
owners, customers, and product vendors
* Be computer literate and possess the ability to learn and utilize software such as CDK,
manufacturer"s parts systems, spreadsheets, and email
* Be able to safely operate a forklift truck while loading and unloading parts
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required
* Bachelor"s or Associate"s degree in related field is preferred
* Minimum of three-years progressive experience in Heavy Equipment, Construction Equipment, or Farm equipment parts operations
recommended
* Experience in automotive or other parts supply houses will be considered
* Valid driver"s license
* Pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle records check, and background check
required
Applicants need to have a high school diploma or GED, a Commercial Drivers License, and a desire to work in an industrial shop or out n the field site setting. Ideal candidates will have construction related equipment experience and be seeking a career with a fast-paced organization
