De Lacy Executive is looking for a Farm Manager to work on a progressive Broiler Farm based in Herefordshire. Our client is looking for a dedicated individual to manage their extensive Broiler site. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who feels that they are capable of running a farm as their own and is prepared to take on more responsibility. Whilst the candidate would report to the owner, the successful applicant will be in charge of the day to day management of the farm. The Responsibilities:
- Ensure all aspects of running the farm are met.
- Ensuring the welfare of livestock is kept to a high level. This will included feed ordering, ventilation management, vaccination, record keeping etc.
- Maintain safe work practices of all staff and contractors on site.
- Ideally hold poultry experience - livestock experience in other sectors will also be considered.
- Possess a practical, can-do attitude.
- Previous experience of managing a team would be a distinct advantage.
- Be reliable and committed and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient computer skills
- NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar would be desirable.
- Valid UK driving licence.
