Field Service Technician ~ gpac ~ Birmingham, Alabama, USA

About the Opportunity:
We recently partnered with this great heavy equipment leasing and rental company working in the agriculture and construction industries. They are looking to expand their services and need some awesome field service technicians to join their team!
Responsibilities:
* Field service technician will provide on-site diagnostic and repair support for various lift, aerial, earthmoving and material handling equipment
* Maintain symbiotic relationship with team members and clientele
* Field service technician will prepare detailed service and failure records
* Must notify service manager of any equipment or vehicles that propose a safety hazard and are not in serviceable condition
* Provide technical support and interact professionally with clientele
* Field service technician must uphold company ethics, operations and safety policies
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of troubleshooting and repair experience with lifting, aerial, earthmoving, and material handling equipment
* Proficient with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in heavy equipment (diesel engine experience is a plus)
* Preferable experience with Volvo, CAT, John Deer, JLG, JCB, Genie (other manufacturer experience will be considered)
* Must have associates degree, diploma from a qualified technical school or comparable years of experience
* Field service technician should have great verbal and written communication skills
* Clean driving record; CDL (pref)
